You won't normally receive an email from Viber unless:
You opened a Viber Out account or bought credit from the website.
You submitted a Support ticket. All conversations with Viber Support are via email.
You clicked on a link in your mobile app to receive information about Viber for Desktop.
Viber will never:
Send you an email with instructions to forward it to others.
Send you an email with a link to a website that is not www.viber.com. Do not click on any link that claims to be from Viber or affiliated to Viber but does not use this domain.

Reporting spam with Viber
There are a few options when you receive messages from an unknown number. At the end of the day, we want to help make sure you’re getting messages from the right people. Here are your choices when you receive a message from a number you don’t recognize:
1. Add to contacts
This will save the person as a safe contact in your phone and you will be able to communicate openly.
2. Block contact
This will stop the person from being able to message you again on Viber.
3. Block & report
Similar to blocking a contact, this person will not be able to message you again on Viber. Additionally, you will also share the latest messages you received from the unknown contact. This will help us identify trends and block messages like this from reaching your inbox in the future.
As always, we value your privacy and appreciate your help in identifying potential spammers.
