Follow Public Accounts
Find your favorite brands on Viber with a tap on the Discover button. Get in touch with the account or follow it for updates and announcements. Read on for more information about brands on Viber.

There are three possible sections to a Viber brand account. An account may contain, one, two or all three of these sections.
The sections of an account:
Info screen - Get an idea of who they are, what they are and a link to their website.
Public Chat - Follow conversations on the Public Chat for unique and exclusive content posted by the people in the know. Look out for the Public Chat icon at the top of your screen. If the account does not have a Public Chat, this icon won't be on the screen.
1-on-1 messaging - Contact the brand by sending them a message. Look out for the message icon at the top of your screen and start chatting. If the icon isn't there, it is because this account doesn't have messaging available. Chat with an account may be either with a bot or with a person.
Look out for the “Verified by Viber” badge on the account’s logo.
This badge shows that the account has proven to Viber that they are who they say they are.

Follow an account you are interested in by tapping the follow button .
When you follow a brand it appears in your list in the accounts tab. Tap on the accounts button to see your list of followed accounts.
Some types of account can't be followed. But if you send them a message your chat will appear in your chats list.

Send a message to an account. This message will either go to a bot, where you will receive an immediate response, or a customer services representative.
Send a message to a bot
1. Open the account you want to message
2. If you aren't in the message screen, tap on the message icon
3. When the bot opens there will be an introduction message
4. Tap on the options below to continue talking with the bot

When you are sent a link to an account, it may lead to different places in the account, or to a landing page.
Links to within the account may take you to:

The Public Chat
Directly into a conversation with the account
Some links will direct you to an account landing page. This page contains a link to the account (if you are on a phone) and a QR code for scanning if you open the link on a computer.
To access the account, simply open a QR scanner on your phone and hold it over the code. Learn how to use a QR scanner here.
As an account follower, no details about you or your Viber account are available to anyone else on the account. Even the account’s admins will not be able to see anything about you.
If you send a 1-on-1 message to an account, the account’s admins will be able to see your Viber user name, user picture and location.

Share an account with friends and contacts on Viber and with other apps.
Share an account from the info screen or Public Chat screen
Share a 1-on-1 chat with a Viber contact directly from the conversation
1. Open the account at the screen you want to share
2. Tap on the share button at the top of the screen
3. Tap on Invite friends to select a Viber contact to invite
4. Tap on Share to share the account with a link
Report an account from the information screen.
1. Open up the account that you want to report
2. Tap on the options button at the top of the screen
3. Tap on Report this Public Account from the options available
Tapping on this link will take you to a web page with a form for you to fill in.
When you unfollow an account it will no longer appear in your list of accounts and you will not receive any more 1-on-1 messages from them.
1. Open up the information screen on an account that you want to unfollow
2. Tap on the options button
3. Tap on unfollow from the options available, and you will immediately unfollow the Public Account
