Communities on Viber are made to bring people together around shared passions and interests, even if they don’t know each other. Communities have special tools and features to help create connections between people and engage with millions of other people:
Unlimited chatting - Communities can have no limits to the number of members, and you as the admin can choose when to let them message in the chat.
More exposure - Communities are right in the main chat list, right next to all private and group chats. This easy access drives exposure and engagement by up to 5 times more compared to your old public chat. -
More engagement - Add polls to chats to engage your members in the chat
More privacy - Members can interact with each other while keeping their privacy. Hidden-number chats can let your members message you or other members of the community directly, without exposing phone numbers.
More growth - Easily invite new members and spread the word about your community with invitation links. Content from your community that is forwarded on Viber gets a special label, including a link back to your community.
Shared history - The community chat history is available to new members, so they will not miss anything that happened before they joined and can quickly join the conversation.

Once you have set up your community, encourage your followers to move from the public chat to the new community.
Post the invite link to your community in the Public Chat as the last message - to make sure it gets the maximum exposure when your followers visit it. Share the invitation link on other channels, and keep reminding your followers to join the community as soon as possible.
Start adding content to your community so that new members will see the chat they are used to rather than an empty chat. Remember that every new member can see the entire chat history, so this is especially important.
